The **************** representative accused her of turning off the autopay function. Honda never sent ME, the co-signer, an invoice or notice of any kind that a payment was due.In December 2019, when she learned the November payment had not been automatically withdrawn from her checking account, my daughter-in-law contacted Honda Finance and asked why it had not been taken from her account. When the November payment wasnt received by Honda, Honda claims that they sent a written notice to her. On advice from the Honda dealership, I co-signed the lease agreement for her. I request that this **** be removed immediately and my full credit worthiness be restored. This account was an automobile lease by my daughter-in-law, ************************************** (the primary lessee), in 2017. Because it has not been resolved and is still affecting my credit, I am filing this BBB complaint now. This derogatory **** was unfairly reported by Honda and was contested by me at the time, but it is STILL negatively affecting my credit. I need Honda to send the title to the *** office as promised.Īlmost four years ago, in December 2019, a 30-day late payment **** was posted to my credit file by American Honda Finance **. Told to hold and returned to the queue when I asked for a supervisor. I have been lied to by Honda Financial Services. That was 3 weeks ago and today I recd a power of attorney in the mail. I faxed it to Honda and confirmed they recd it and would send it on. On my 5th time to the *** I was given a note with what they need. *** suggested I buy my car so I have the title. Honda has told me many times they will complete my request but they send the same form. Honda won't send it, they have sent me 4 power of attorney forms. *** won't allow me to re-register my car until they see the title. Both my husband and myself are on the title-it's a leased vehicle. I have been going in circles with Honda Financial Srvs. I purchased my car in CA, we only lived in WA for 2 years. I went to the *** with his death certificate to get my vehicle registered. Regrettably, I have not received any response to date. These actions were carried out within the last five days, reflecting my awareness of the urgency in resolving this matter promptly. However, my concerns began to escalate when my attempts to contact American Honda Financial Corporation to confirm the current status of my account and seek guidance on the next steps were met with an automated service that consistently stated that no one was available to take my call.In my efforts to establish communication and seek resolution, I also sent an email to ******************************************** which included all the relevant information and my contact details. Eager to rectify the situation, I diligently followed their instructions, which included providing requested references, confirming full insurance coverage for my car, updating the ************************* name, and acquiring a certified money order for the specified reinstatement amount. They provided me with a set of steps required to resolve the issue and reinstate my account. Understandably, my vehicle was repossessed by American Honda Financial Corporation. On the same day of the repossession, September 11, 2023, I contacted American Honda Financial Corporation and engaged with several representatives. Recognizing the severity of the situation, I promptly made a partial payment in an effort to address the outstanding balance. In brief, my experience with American Honda Financial Corporation began when I encountered financial difficulties that led to missed payments on my car loan.
